Dear St. James' Family,
The theme of this year's stewardship campaign is Continuing the Legacy of Giving. Saint James has always had a strong legacy of giving, marked by giving to the Kingdom, helping parishioners, and ministering to our neighbors' needs. As we embark on this year's stewardship campaign, we do this, knowing that these are challenging times. The year 2020 was marked by ongoing political divisiveness, racial injustice, and the ongoing saga of the COVID-19 pandemic. During these uncertain times, we are reminded of how important our faith is to us.
Even though we had to physically close our doors in March because of COVID-19, we haven't shut the doors of our ministry activities. From Bible studies to food distribution, from voter registration to police reform, Saint James' has been on the move, touching lives and transforming our community.
In order to continue to do all of this, our community relies on you, your time, talent, and financial faithfulness. I hope you will prayerfully consider what support you can offer to advance the work of the Jesus movement at Saint James. Your gift to our continuing the legacy of giving campaign will directly impact everything our church does and wants to do. Please take a few moments and review the narrative budget and be in prayer about the response you wish to make with your pledge card. We will begin collecting the pledge cards on Harvest Sunday Ingathering on November the 29th. You may turn in your 2021 pledge card by mail, in person or electronically. Thank you in advance for your prayers and your financial support of the work of Lord Jesus Christ and through this wonderful parish.
Yours in Christ,
The Reverend Victor J. Thomas
