St. James' Keepers
The Keepers is a ministry that focuses on the spiritual, emotional and physical well being of communicants who live alone or who may be physically, spiritually, socially and/or emotionally impaired by a succession of losses in their lives.
Communicants offer the service of initiating and maintaining close communications with those living alone or those experiencing unusual impairments. The communicants are referred to as “Keepers” and those who are the recipients of the service are referred to as “Keepees”.
Keepers contact Keepees at least once each week and report weekly to the Coordinator of Keepers the names of Keepees who need pastoral care and those who need assistance from other communicants. Keepers make reports from Mondays through Saturdays.
For more information, contact Louise Chapple, Coordinator.
